It was worth the wait, as the new hotel is a stunner, not just the best in Philly, but one of the country’s top city properties. The opulent décor and spectacular views also earned the hotel a spot at the top of TripAdvisor’s World Luxury list. But my favorite differentiator at the Ritz-Carlton is the Club Floor, a given at luxury hotels across Asia but still rare in the U.S. and rarer still at ski resorts. Each welcomes guests as if to the home of a close friend, instilling a sense of peace and belonging amid some of the most diverse natural and historical landscapes. Iguazu is a series of nearly 300 waterfalls which combine to form the most impressive cascades on earth (and I’ve been to Victoria Falls and Niagara, Iguazu’s chief competitors). The hotels-within-hotels alleviate all the lodging and service issues Vegas specializes in, with separate private lobbies, fast check-in, check-out, bell service and taxis, they have their own concierges, better rooms and suites, more privacy and security, and lots of extras.
